One of the leading goals of the Undergraduate Economics Society is to foster in-depth research and writing opportunities for students interested in the discipline. Our two main avenues for students to publish research are the Undergraduate Economics Review and The Capitol Economics Journal. We also offer The Global Economics Brief for shorter commentary pieces on current issues and topical debates in economics.

The Undergraduate Economics Review is a student-run research organization. The UER is a semester-long commitment and serves as a way for both underclassmen and upperclassmen to explore all facets of the research process.

The Capitol Economics Journal is the George Washington University’s only undergraduate economics journal. The CEJ publishes peer-reviewed research papers and theses on concepts in economics and finance fields.

The Global Economics Brief is a monthly Substack publication featuring student-written op-eds on topics in current global issues including political economy, financial economics, and more.
